Help your child develop the right values

More and more it is getting difficult for our children to develop the right values. They are constantly bombarded with visuals, thoughts, images, sounds, that negate the right moral values. But not all is lost. It is our responsibility to help them develop the right values. A lot of parents tend to shy away from taking their responsibility seriously and then somehow wonder why their children are behaving badly. It is not the teachers responsibility to develop character within your child. It is yours.

Take time to look around you. Study and learn by observation from parents who are doing a good job of this – we all have parents like these around us. Also, read books or research online on ideas. Every child is different and you child’s temperament is the first thing you need to learn to know how best to help them develop.

Don’t compare your child to siblings or other children – you may crush your child’s confidence and also create a negative unrealistic expectation in your mind; which will only set you and your family up for sorrow and pain.  Your child is unique, with unique abilities – take time to discover what this is and help them enhance it.
